How to specify a custom Round or Doyen bottom pouch.

The defining feature is the lower support geometry. In the finished pouch, a curved internal seal follows the gusset and meets the lower edge-seal area. The bottom edge also has a seal. When filled, the gusset opens to create a broader base area.
This construction is useful when presentation, base opening or product volume makes a simple flat pouch less suitable. The drawing in the FORMPACK configurator is a specification aid; the final seal profile is confirmed during manufacturability review.
Which dimensions are required?

How should I choose the size?
Start with the product volume and target fill weight, then allow room for filling, closing and handling. Dense products, irregular pieces, sharp edges and automated filling can change the practical size even when the nominal volume is similar. If those details are not yet known, select “Recommend for me” and include the packed product, fill weight and filling method on the confirmation page.
The instant quote accepts width from 60–800 mm and length from 120–800 mm. A value outside the editor range is not automatically rejected as impossible; it is routed to a custom review instead.
Material and print choices in the calculator
PET + PE is the default laminate: PET is selected as the outer film and PE remains the inner sealant film. PA or EVOHPE can be selected for a different review starting point. VMPET is an optional metallised interlayer when an opaque, light-blocking structure may be required.
Common trial thickness settings are 8C, 10C, 12C and 15C. These are quotation inputs, not a substitute for barrier, drop, seal and filling tests. Uploaded artwork produces a positioning preview and an initial printing-plate estimate; prepress confirms process colours, spot colours, white ink and final plate count.
MOQ, production time and delivered quotation
The standard production MOQ is 5,000 pieces. Lower-volume digital printing may be possible case by case. The standard production target is 14–21 days after the specification, artwork and production start are confirmed.
